Conference Chairman, Perry Robins, MD, is Professor Emeritus of Dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Robins has practiced medicine for over 40 years and has treated more than 47,000 skin cancer patients. Over 40% of the doctors who specialize in skin cancer were either trained by Dr. Robins himself or by doctors he has trained. He has lectured in 37 countries in 4 languages. At present, he performs more than 500 procedures annually and conducts training workshops for his peers on advanced techniques of dermatologic surgery.

Dr. Robins is the founder and President of The Skin Cancer Foundation, a national organization dedicated to the research of skin cancer and public and medical education. Joseph B. Bikowski, MD, is the director of the Bikowski Skin Care Center in Sewickley, PA and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He has been in the private practice of dermatology for the last 27 years in Sewickley, PA.



Dr. Bikowski has over 40 publications in medical literature, is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the editorial boards of Cutis, Practical Dermatology, and the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology.

C. William Hanke, MD is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the treatment of skin cancer, dermatologic surgery, laser and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Hanke achieved distinction as Professor of Dermatology, Pathology, and Otolaryngology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He was the first physician in the United States to earn this triple academic rank. He is a frequent lecturer in the United States and Europe, and he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology. He has served as Vice-President of the Skin Cancer Foundation and President of six national surgical specialty organizations. Dr. Hanke is certified by five specialty boards, (Dermatology (ABMS), Dermatopathology (ABMS), Laser Surgery (Independent), Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology (Independent), and Cosmetic Surgery (Independent). He has authored or co-authored more than 240 articles and books in the medical literature.

Dr. Deborah S. Sarnoff is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Physicians, American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Sarnoff is a clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center and vice president of The Skin Cancer Foundation. She earned her B.A. from Cornell University, summa cum laude, and graduated from The George Washington School of Medicine with distinction. Dr. Sarnoff received her residency and fellowship training in dermatologic surgery at New York University and served as a clinical researcher at the National Institutes of Health.

An expert in cosmetic dermatology, lasers and Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer, Dr. Sarnoff has demonstrated her procedures on “The Today Show,” “20/20,” “Good Morning America,” “Dateline,” “The View” and “The Doctors” TV show. Alan R. Shalita, MD, is Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chairman, Department of Dermatology, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is Chief of Dermatology at both State University Hospital and Kings County Hospital Center, and is a Consultant in Dermatology Services at Brooklyn VA Hospital. Dr. Shalita received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He completed his residency in dermatology at NYU Medical Center.

Dr. Shalita has served as president of the American Dermatological Association and of the Association of Professors of Dermatology. He served as Deputy Secretary General of the World Congress of Dermatology for four years and currently holds membership in the Society for Investigative Dermatology, American Medical Association, and many other professional societies.

A pioneer in the treatment of acne, Dr. Shalita is recognized nationally and internationally for his skills as a clinician, researcher, and educator in the field of dermatology. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts.

Dr. Spencer received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City. He completed a fellowship in Mohs Surgery with Rex Amonette, MD, and has served as assistant professor at the University of Miami and associate professor and vice chairman at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Most recently, he has been promoted to professor of clinical dermatology at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and has opened a private practice in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dr. Spencer is active in the prevention, detection, and treatment of all types of skin cancer. He also has an active clinical and research interest in lasers and cosmetic therapies. Dr. Spencer is a frequent speaker, both nationally and internationally, on cutaneous oncology, as well as cosmetic therapies and lasers. In addition to maintaining a private practice, he is co-chairman of the National Council for Skin Cancer Prevention, and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Spencer is the author of 14 book chapters and over 60 scientific publications.

Susan H. Weinkle, MD is board certified in dermatology. She is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Weinkle graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 1978 and completed her residency in dermatology at Stanford University Hospital Center in 1982, where she held the position of Chief Resident. Dr. Weinkle has been in solo private practice since 1984, specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She has held academic appointments at Stanford University Hospital, the University of California Irvine Medical Center and most recently at the University of South Florida. Dr. Weinkle also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a medical editor for the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology.

Dr. Kircik is a board certified dermatologist who graduated with AOA Honors from State University of New York at the Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn after completing his undergraduate work with Phi Beta Kappa at New York University. He completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship under the auspices of Dr. Frederick Mohs at the University of Wisconsin after completing his dermatology residency at State University of New York in Buffalo.

He currently teaches at Indiana University Medical Center as an associate clinical professor of dermatology. He is also the medical director of Derm Research, PLLC and Physicians Skin Care, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been the principal investigator of numerous clinical trials for psoriasis, acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, skin cancers, and actinic keratosis, just to name a few.

Dr. Kircik is an author of many scientific articles, abstracts, and posters. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on all aspects of dermatology conditions. In addition, he also serves on the advisory boards of several pharmaceutical boards as a consultant. He volunteers for multiple local and national medical society committees.

Dr. Mukta Sachdev is a consultant dermatologist in Bangalore. She is an MBBS and an MD in dermatology. She has also done a fellowship in cosmetic dermatology from Florida USA, has a diploma in dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow, UK and a diploma in practical dermatology (International) from Wales, UK. She has been in cosmetic dermatological practice since 1995.

She has won several awards in dermatology and has presented and published numerous papers in national and international journals. She is a regular invited guest speaker at national and international forums.

Dr. Mukta Sachdev is experienced in the field of cosmetic dermatological procedures and lasers.

Dr. Amy Forman Taub founded Advanced Dermatology, a state-of-the-art center of cosmetic excellence, photodynamic therapy, skin cancer detection and treatment, and general dermatology, in 2002. Dr. Taub is also a clinical instructor at Northwestern University Medical School (where she teaches a monthly cosmetic surgery clinic for residents), as well as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, Chicago Dermatologic Society, Illinois State Dermatologic Society, the Leader’s Society of the Dermatology Foundation, and the Skin Cancer Foundation. Robert Anolik, MD is a third year resident at New York University. He received his BS in molecular biology at Princeton University and attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College.

Whitney P. Bowe, MD is president at Boderma Corporation and a Resident at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She received her BS from Yale University.

Adam Friedman, MD is a third year resident at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University after completing his undergraduate studies at University of Pennsylvania.

After receiving her master’s degree in microbiology from Boston University, Dr. Baldwin spent two years in clinical research in John David’s immunoparisitology laboratory at Harvard Medical School before returning to Boston University for her medical training. She completed a medical internship at Yale New Haven Hospital and then returned to her roots for her dermatology residency and chief residency at New York University Hospital.

Since finishing her residency and obtaining her board certification, she joined the faculty at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. Dr. Martin Braun graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1984 after gaining early admission to the Faculty of Medicine. (He lost the run off for the Rhodes Scholarship, and being 2nd really doesn't count for much in this world!). He subsequently completed his core training in surgery at UBC and decided to enter the field of emergency medicine rather than surgery. He is board certified in both emergency medicine and family practice.

In 1996, Dr. Braun became the first doctor in Canada to perform laser hair removal, and since then has developed a large non-surgical cosmetic rejuvenation practice, along with his wife Dr. Susan Braun in Vancouver. Dr. Braun injects over 1000 bottles of Botox annually, and he is especially noted for his humorous and practical discussions at many national and international meetings. He recently completed a tour of Australia for Allergan, lecturing on the optimization of Botox as the primary tool in a cosmetic practice.

Mariano Busso, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy for Mohs Surgery. He is Chief of Dermatology at Mercy Hospital in Miami and serves as a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami. He has published dozens of book chapters, revered articles and abstracts and is involved in clinical trials for cosmetic treatments.

In 1984 Dr. Busso earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine in Argentina.

Brett Coldiron, MD, FACP is founder of The Skin Cancer Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Coldiron received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky and completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas. He is trained in Mohs micrographic surgery and Dermatologic surgery through a joint fellowship at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University.

Dr. Coldiron is an active member of various professional organizations. Elizabeth Alvarez Connelly, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist, specializing in Pediatric Dermatology and Laser Surgery. Dr. Connelly completed her Dermatology training at the University of Minnesota and specialty training in Pediatric Dermatology at the University of California San Diego.

In 2005, Dr. Connelly joined the faculty at the University of Miami as assistant professor and Co-director for the Division of Pediatric Dermatology. Currently, she continues her work at the University as a voluntary associate professor of Dermatology. She has authored numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters in pediatric dermatologic diseases. In addition, she has conducted clinical trials in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, acne, diaper dermatitis, hair loss and inherited skin diseases. Dr. Connelly has committed interests in Hemangiomas of Infancy, vascular malformations, eczema, inherited skin disorders, and pediatric dermatology laser and excisional surgery.

Dr. Connelly is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Women’s Dermatologic Society where she is currently Co-Chair for the Annual Meeting Committee.

William H. Eaglstein, MD is Vice President of Global Medical Sciences at Stiefel Laboratories. Dr. Eaglstein earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri and received his board certification in dermatology from the University of Miami.

Dr. Eaglstein has held several leadership positions within the dermatological field, serving on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Investigative Dermatology, among others. In addition, Dr. Eaglstein has worked closely with the U.S. Government on health care issues as Chairman of the FDA Dermatology Drug Advisory Panel and as a member of the NIH National Institute of Arthritis Musculoskeletal and Skin Disease Advisory Board. Dr. Joseph Eastern is Clinical Professor of Medicine/Dermatology at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School, and at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education, and has practiced in Belleville, NJ for 28 years. He completed his MD at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, internship at Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Long Beach, CA, and a residency in Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he was Chief Resident in his final year and was certified by the American Board of Dermatology the following year.

Dr. Eastern originated the Office Efficiency course at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, and directed it for many years. He has been a speaker at the AAD summer and winter meetings every year for the past 21 years.

Dr Eastern is active in many dermatological societies, and is a two-time past president of the Dermatological Society of New Jersey. He serves on several AAD committees and task forces. He has delivered academic speaking presentations in nearly every state and several foreign countries. He is the author of numerous articles and textbook chapters, and is a long-time monthly columnist for Skin & Allergy News.

Dr. Steve Feldman is Professor of Dermatology, Pathology and Public Health Sciences at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He directs the Center for Dermatology Research, a health services research center working to improve the care of patients with skin disease. Dr. Feldman’s chief clinical interest is psoriasis. He received a Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology in 2005 for his psoriasis education efforts and received one of the AAD’s highest awards, the Clarence S. Livingood Lecturership, at the 2006 AAD Meeting. Dr. Feldman also was awarded the Astellas Award (and its $30,000 prize) by the American Academy of Dermatology in 2008 for scientific research that improved public health in the field of dermatology. Dr. Feldman has studied the quality of medical, surgical, and pathologic dermatology services provided by dermatologists, reinforcing effects of UV exposure in frequent tanners, and the quality of life impact of psoriasis. His research studies into patients’ adherence to topical treatments are transforming how dermatologists understand and manipulate patients’ use of topical treatment of chronic disease. Dr. Feldman was also the founder of www.DrScore.com, an online doctor rating website that doctors nationwide use to get feedback from patients. Feldman has authored over 400 peer reviewed medical articles. Much of Dr. Feldman’s work has been compiled for lay people in his book, Compartments: How the Brightest, Best Trained, and Most Caring People Can Make Judgments That are Completely and Utterly Wrong.

Named in 2008 as one of Women’s Health Magazine’s Top 17 Dermatologists for women in the nation and the only physician in any specialty in the greater Tampa Bay area, Dr. Neil Alan Fenske is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, Professor of Oncologic Sciences as well as Pathology & Cell Biology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Fenske is Medical Director of the USF Health Cosmetic & Laser Center and has been widely recognized by his peers in America’s Top Doctors, America’s Top Cancer Doctors, America’s Best Doctors and the Guide to America’s Top Physicians. He is past president of 5 dermatology organizations and is president elect for the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Noah Worcester Dermatological Society. A New Orleans native, Dr. Fitzgerald graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Medical School. She subsequently completed an Internal Medicine residency at UCLA/Cedars Sinai Medical Center(CSMC) in Los Angeles, California before returning home to New Orleans, where she completed her training in Dermatology. She returned to California following her post graduate training, and is pleased to continue serving the greater Los Angeles area from her new Larchmont location.

Dr. Fowler is an internationally known dermatologist, recognized for his work in the field of contact and occupational dermatology. He has maintained a busy private practice for 24 years in Louisville, Ky., and is a clinical professor of dermatology at the U. of Louisville. He has been a past president of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the Space Dermatology Foundation, and the Kentucky Dermatology Society. He is President of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group. He is listed in Woodward and White’s "Best Doctors in America". He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of numerous professional organizations.

Dr. Fowler has been an invited lecturer at many medical conferences, including the annual conference of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has authored over 110 scholarly publications and medical chapters and the co-author, with Bob Rietschel MD, of “Fisher’s Contact Dermatitis” one of the most used dermatology textbooks.

Dr. Fried is both a board certified dermatologist and licensed clinical psychologist. Dee Anna Glaser, MD, is professor of dermatology and vice chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Saint Louis University, where she is also the director of the Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Division and the director of the Research Fellowship. She is an internationally renowned speaker on a variety of dermatologic issues and has participated in more than 20 funded clinical trials, has participated in more than 100 scientific and educational presentations, and has published more than 75 articles in scientific and peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Glaser earned her medical degree with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at NY University and Bellevue Hospital in NY, and completed a residency in dermatology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. John Robert Hamill, Jr., MD, received his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He is currently· Affiliate Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of South Florida and instructor for Skin Cancer surgery to residents.

Dr. Hamill has presented papers at national and local meetings regarding skin cancer treatments. He is a fellow of multiple societies, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also past president of The Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and of the Florida West Coast Dermatological Society.

Dr. Hamill was selected as Surgeon of the Year at the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. C. William Hanke, MD is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the treatment of skin cancer, dermatologic surgery, laser and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Doris Hexsel is a Board Certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, working in private practices in Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is formerly Professor of Dermatology at the School of Medicine at the University of Passo Fundo. Dr Hexsel is the main investigator of the Brazilian Center for Studies in Dermatology. She has published over 80 titles in medical journals and books. Joseph L Jorizzo, MD, is Professor, Former and Founding Chair of the Dermatology Department at Wake Forest University and Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the Weill Cornell School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Boston University and completed his residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital. He was a fellow at St John’s Hospital in London.

Dr. Jorizzo has been on myriad councils, committees, and advisory boards. Alexa Boer Kimball, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also Director of the Clinical Unit for Research Trials in Skin at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Kimball received her medical degree from the Yale University after obtaining bachelor’s degrees in molecular biology and public and international affairs from Princeton University. She completed her residency at Stanford University and a clinical research fellowship in dermatology at the National Institutes of Health while concurrently obtaining an MPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

Dr. Kimball was previously associate editor for the “Clinical Trials and Therapeutics” section of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and medical editor for the “Dermatology” section of eMedicine. She is also the author of the book 101 Questions and Answers about Psoriasis.

Dr. Kircik is a board certified dermatologist who graduated with AOA Honors from State University of New York at the Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn after completing his undergraduate work with Phi Beta Kappa at New York University. He completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship under the auspices of Dr. Frederick Mohs at the University of Wisconsin after completing his dermatology residency at State University of New York in Buffalo.

He currently teaches at Indiana University Medical Center as an associate clinical professor of dermatology. He is also the medical director of Derm Research, PLLC and Physicians Skin Care, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Kircik is an author of many scientific articles, abstracts, and posters. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on all aspects of dermatology conditions. Mary H. Lien, MD grew up in southern California and received her Bachelor of Science degreefrom the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed her medical education at the Duke University School of Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree. She performed her internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lien completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center, as well as a melanoma fellowship at the University of Michigan Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic.

Dr. Mary Lien is the Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of South Florida and is a faculty dermatologist in the Division of Cutaneous Oncology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Lien is also the Chief of Dermatology at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. She specializes in cutaneous oncology including melanoma and other skin carcinomas. Clifford Warren Lober, MD, JD has been in the full-time private practice of dermatology in Kissimmee, Florida for 27 years. A Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of South Florida, Dr. Lober has received three Presidential Citations from the American Academy of Dermatology, was named “Surgeon of the Year” in 1992 by the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgeons, and was awarded the first ever “Distinguished Service Award” by the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Having served on the Board of Directors of the AAD and chaired its Section on Health Practice, Policy and Research, Dr. Lober is currently Chairman of the Carrier Policy and Medical Liability Task Force and serves on the AAD’s Audit Committee. Flor A. Mayoral, M.D., a leading physician in the area of dermatology and cutaneous surgery, has been practicing in South Florida for over 25 years. Wendy E. Roberts, M.D., FAAD, received her medical degree from Stanford Medical School and is certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Roberts’ private practice is located in Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs), California.

She is the Founding Director of Dermatopathology of Loma Linda Division of Dermatology. Roberts is also the creator of "The Roberts Skin Type Classification System ©" which is groundbreaking in its approach to identifying and communicating medical details regarding all skin color types.

Alan R. Shalita, MD, is Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chairman, Department of Dermatology, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is Chief of Dermatology at both State University Hospital and Kings County Hospital Center, and is a Consultant in Dermatology Services at Brooklyn VA Hospital. Dr. Shalita received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He completed his residency in dermatology at NYU Medical Center.

Dr. Shalita has served as president of the American Dermatological Association and of the Association of Professors of Dermatology. He served as Deputy Secretary General of the World Congress of Dermatology for four years and currently holds membership in the Society for Investigative Dermatology, American Medical Association, and many other professional societies.

A pioneer in the treatment of acne, Dr. Shalita is recognized nationally and internationally for his skills as a clinician, researcher, and educator in the field of dermatology. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts.

Daniel Siegel is Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the State University of New York at Downstate and director of the Procedural Dermatology – Mohs Surgery fellowship program. He is a clinician, academician and computer expert who treats patents with skin cancer; teaches dermatologic surgery and computer utilization to his students, residents, fellows and colleagues; represents the specialty of Dermatology on the AMA Resource Based Relative Value Update Committee, where he chaired its standing Research Committee from 2007-2009. Dr. Amy Forman Taub founded Advanced Dermatology, a state-of-the-art center of cosmetic excellence, photodynamic therapy, skin cancer detection and treatment, and general dermatology, in 2002. Susan C. Taylor, MD is a University of Pennsylvania and Harvard trained physician who is an internationally recognized expert in dermatology. She is board certified in both internal medicine and dermatology and lectures frequently domestically and abroad.

Dr. Taylor has been a guest on national news shows and is frequently interviewed by local medical reporters both in Philadelphia and New York. Susan H. Weinkle, MD is board certified in dermatology. She is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Weinkle graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 1978 and completed her residency in dermatology at Stanford University Hospital Center in 1982, where she held the position of Chief Resident. Dr. Weinkle has been in solo private practice since 1984, specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She has held academic appointments at Stanford University Hospital, the University of California Irvine Medical Center and most recently at the University of South Florida. Heather Woolery-Lloyd, M.D. completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd is a nationally recognized expert in skin of color and the cosmetic concerns in skin of color. Dr. Zalla received his MD from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and his dermatology training at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He has been in private practice for 39 years, and is the senior member of a five-dermatologist group in Kentucky.
