ARTE Scholarship Verification
Congratulations on being accepted to the distinguished ARTE Resident Scholarship Program! Below you will find the information needed to confirm your scholarship. Please note, your scholarship will not be confirmed until all information is received. We are thrilled you will be joining us in Orlando!
If you plan to accept the scholarship, please fill out the acceptance form, including travel and program verification, located at the bottom of the page two weeks after receiving your acceptance email.
If you are unable to accept the scholarship, please email Emily Lynch-Fries at [email protected] as soon as possible so we can award your scholarship to another resident.
To accept your scholarship, submit your required acceptance materials no later than two weeks after receiving your official acceptance email. Failure to submit your materials by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your scholarship award.
A complete copy of your travel itinerary must be provided to show your time of arrival and departure. If you will be driving to the conference, please submit a copy of your license to fulfill the travel requirement.
Accepted materials include a letter from your program director indicating that you are currently enrolled as a Dermatology resident at your designated Residency Program OR a copy of your Resident School ID.
YOUR EXPECTED COMMITMENT
As an ARTE Scholar you are required to participate in all general sessions and workshops beginning Friday, January 18th at 3:00pm through Monday, January 21st at 12:00pm including the half-day “Residents, Young Dermatologists & Beyond Summit” held on Monday.
Failure to meet the full attendance requirement as stated above may result in forfeiture of your scholarship, reimbursement to ODAC for your portion of hotel room costs, and disqualification for all conference awards and prizes.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A FULL SCHOLARSHIP
- Complimentary ODAC conference registration
- 3 nights shared accommodations at the conference host hotel
- Breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks
- Residents, Young Dermatologists & Beyond Summit, featuring hands-on training, taking place Monday, January 21st from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Attendance at this session is a requirement of your scholarship.
- Derm In-Review Board Review session taking place Friday, January 18th from 1:00-5:00 pm. Please note, this is an added benefit of the ARTE scholarship, your attendance is not required.
- The scholarship does not cover travel, per diem, parking or any personal expenses.

As part of ODAC’s commitment to resident education, you are invited and encouraged to become a content contributor for one of our media partners, Next Steps in Derm, a top resource and online mentor for residents, fellows, and new practitioners in the dermatology field. Writing for Next Steps in Derm will help you gain visibility within the field and further your career by becoming part of a reputable pool of accomplished thought leaders. You will get a lot exposure and credibility, which will help you connect with peers who share the same passion for dermatology as you do.
As an accepted ARTE Scholar, any content that you submit will receive priority on our editorial calendar and be published on all social media platforms. This is a unique opportunity and we hope you will take advantage of it.
