Target Audience
This CME activity is designed for practicing dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows, physician extenders in dermatology, and other physicians with an interest in dermatology.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this CME activity, participants will be able to:
Identify the various topical agents that target different aspects of acne pathogenesis; Compare the various topical agents and vehicles with patient compliance and long-term treatment efficacy, tolerability, and safety; Describe the clinical pharmacology, including method of action for new topical fixed-dose combination therapies for the treatment of acne vulgaris; Examine emerging clinical and therapeutic science insights into the pathogenesis and effective management of atopic dermatitis; Describe the key pathogenic factors, adherence issues and solutions that promote optimal care in dermatitis; Select and formulate the appropriate aesthetic treatment plan with neurotoxins and fillers for patients who seek improvement in facial appearance; Compare patient selection, choice of injectable products and technique required to avoid potential complications and achieve optimal patient outcomes; Identify perceptions of patients with dermatological disease that could have a significan influence on treatment success and quality of life; List the effects of the aging process specific to patients with skin of color, identify safe and effective treatments, and review nonsurgical aesthetic strategies and injection techniques specific to achieving optimal outcomes in patients with skin of color; Distinguish various options for the dressing and treatment for successful wound healing and the differences between them; Identify stages of the wound healing process and effective strategies to promote healing; Select and formulate the appropriate aesthetic treatment plan with laser and light-based energy therapy and technologies for patients who seek improvement in skin appearance; Diagnose pediatric dermatology conditions; Describe the epidemiology and diagnosis of rosacea; Assess patient expectations and select the course of modality for specific cosmetic results; Select the best method of treatment, field-directed, lesion-directed or combination therapy, to effectively manage AK and prevent the progression to SCC; Interpret dermapathological specimen slides; Identify advances in the treatment of biologic therapies, systemic therapies and phototherapies.
