
2023 ARTE Scholarships for Dermatology Residents
The Advanced Resident Training & Education (ARTE) program supports resident education and provides real-world training through attendance at ODAC. ARTE offers educational and networking activities with an acute focus on the most important issues facing residents today. The medical education is not only relevant and cutting edge, but the network of personal and professional support is an invaluable investment in each scholar’s education, career, and personal growth.

Scholarship Inclusions
The ARTE Scholarship includes:
- Complimentary conference registration
- 3 nights single occupancy hotel accommodations, checking in Thursday, January 12, 2023 and checking out Sunday, January 15, 2023.
- Breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks
- Guaranteed registration to the Virtual Board Review Pre-Conference Workshop
ARTE Scholar Committment
As an ARTE Scholar you are required to participate in all general sessions and workshops designated for scholars beginning Thursday, January, 12, 2023 at 3:00pm through Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 1:30pm. You are NOT required, but strongly encouraged, to attend the first general session on Thursday, January 12th at 1:30pm. Upon check-in to the conference, you will receive information on required workshops and will be scanned into all sessions to verify attendance.
Failure to meet the full attendance requirement as stated above will result in forfeiture of your scholarship, reimbursement to ODAC for your hotel room costs, and disqualification for all conference awards and prizes.
Qualifications
To receive the ARTE scholarship, applicants must have an anticipated residency graduation year of 2024 or 2023.
Applications Materials
All applications must include:
- Short essay questions
- CV
- Letter of recommendation – Please note, the letter of recommendation is NOT a letter verifying you are enrolled in a residency program. It must include reasons for recommending you for the ARTE Scholarship.
Selection Criteria
Following the application deadline, all materials will be submitted to a committee for review and scholarship selection. Committee will consider the application materials including the short essay questions, letter of recommendation, and CV. Demographic information will not be considered in the selection process. Data points are voluntarily being collected by SanovaWorks to monitor diversity at our conference, to ensure outreach and audience engagement efforts effectively meet company goals focused on creating an equitable space for all attendees. Award notification will be released by October 31, 2022.
