The Advanced Resident Training & Education (ARTE) program supports resident education and provides real-world training through attendance at ODAC. ARTE offers educational and networking activities with an acute focus on the most important issues facing residents today. The medical education is not only relevant and cutting edge, but the network of personal and professional support is an invaluable investment in each scholar’s education, career, and personal growth.
The ARTE scholarship qualifications, application process, and selection criteria has been updated for the 2022 conference. Please review the below information in detail prior to submitting an application
The ARTE Scholarship includes:
- Complimentary conference registration
- 3 nights single occupancy hotel accommodations
- Breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks
- Guaranteed registration to the Virtual Board Review Pre-Conference Workshop Week
- Reserved seat in the Mini Cosmetic Symposium taking place on Monday, January 17th
ARTE Scholar Committment
As an ARTE Scholar you are required to participate in all general sessions and workshops designated for scholars beginning Friday, January 14th at 1:30pm through Monday, January 17th at 12:00pm including the half-day Mini Cosmetic Symposium held on Monday. Upon check-in to the conference, you will receive information on required workshops and will be scanned into all sessions to verify attendance.
Failure to meet the full attendance requirement as stated above will result in forfeiture of your scholarship, reimbursement to ODAC for your hotel room costs, and disqualification for all conference awards and prizes.
To receive the ARTE scholarship, applicants must have an anticipated residency graduation year of 2023 or 2022.
All applications must include:
- Short essay questions
- Letter of recommendation
- Letter from Residency Program Director or Coordinator as Proof of Residency Enrollment (to be included in your Scholarship Verification Form after acceptance)
Following the application deadline, all materials will be submitted to a committee for review and scholarship selection. Committee will consider the application materials including the short essay questions, letter of recommendation, and CV. Demographic information will not be considered in the selection process. Data points are voluntarily being collected by SanovaWorks to monitor diversity at our conference, to ensure outreach and audience engagement efforts effectively meet company goals focused on creating an equitable space for all attendees. In our efforts to be equitable and inclusive, SanovaWorks strives to make sure each applicant is not only welcome to apply, but also feels safe and protected when disclosing this information.

No applications will be accepted after October 4, 2021.
The application closes October 4, 2021. All accepted scholars will be notified by October 25, 2021. Please keep the conference dates, January 14-17, 2022, open until acceptances have been sent.
